We are looking for the young designers of the future!

Please note this course started on Tues 3rd Sept but new members are very welcome to join if spaces are available.

Design is everywhere you look. What we wear, what we sit on, the products we use everyday and the buildings we live in. From the humble paper clip to the iPhone or iconic fashion brands, design helps us to reflect our different cultures and improve the way we live by solving problems.

We are looking to provide an opportunity to young people in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas to explore their creativity in a modern, design led way that will inspire confidence in creative thinking and presenting ideas.

This fun and practical 6 week course includes:

- Creative thinking and brainstorming ideas.

- Fun modelmaking and design based games

- Projects exploring lighting and motorised models

- Introduction to digital art app Procreate.

- 3D design

- Introduction to design drawing and perspective.

- Exploring iconic design work has changed the world - from the Bauhaus to Apple.

Returning students will be provided with a fresh range of new projects, whilst new students will be given a full introduction to the course and any software we will be using.

Our aim is to provide a great foundation of practical design, digital and social skills that can be applied to all walks of life.

All materials will be supplied. Please wear appropriate old clothes as it might get a bit messy!
