From Banksy to Space Invader and beyond. Create exciting street art in a range of styles.

Please note this course has already started but places are still available to join for the remaining weeks.

Street Art has always been one of my favourite forms or art. Its creative roots stem from the principle that art is for everyone and everything and everywhere can be a canvas for ideas that reflect our diverse cultures and environments.

This course will explore some of the most influential street artists in history and we will experiment with different styles and techniques to create our own amazing pieces.

We will cover the basics of stencilling like Banksy*, use immersive digital design software to apply art to 3D worlds and objects, have fun expressing yourself with giant mural doodling like Keith Haring, or pushing the form to unusual and innovative limits through Slinkachu’s miniature scenes, Space Invaders iconic mosaics and huge scale animated murals like BLU.

Learn new skills in practical and digital graphic art and maybe get a whole new perspective on what art is and can be!

Come and enjoy this unique course in a fun and relaxed environment at the Submarine studios with lead tutor Tom Ellis and assistants.

All materials will be supplied. Please wear appropriate old clothes as it might get a bit messy!

Please note this is not a course about graffiti. Street Art is so much more than that.
*Under 16’s are not allowed to use spray paints or craft knives but we will have supervised demonstrations during our stencilling sessions which will all take place under safe conditions using scissors and water based products.
