Explore the world of illustration in a course packed with technical guidance and professional insight.

This course has started but places are still available to join for the remaining weeks.

During this six-week course you will have the opportunity to produce a collection of illustrations. This could be in the form of a picture book, a comic or graphic novel, or a series of editorial illustrations (images to accompany text in a newspaper, magazine or website). Which path you take is up to you: you'll be encouraged and assisted in whichever area of illustration you want to explore.

You'll have the chance to experiment with a wide range of materials, and explore different styles, techniques and approaches.You will be encouraged to take calculated risks, pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, and to embrace your mistakes. Through experimentation and play, you'll start to develop your own unique style as an illustrator. 

Each week we'll also be taking a look at inspiring reference materials. These could be anything from books to projected visuals.
